Time to get tough, Mommies! Witty and fun, Life with Toddlers dishes out no-nonsense guidance and effective down to earth techniques. Pulling no punches, this mom of three lays out toddler discipline with empathy, and yes, a few migraines of her own! Most toddler books are filled with peachy, useless, it'll-be-fine advice. Well, no more!

Using a new three step "TAG" or Toddler ABC Guide© for decreasing unwanted toddler behavior, parents, grandparents and caregivers can finally end the emotional tug of war (discipline, guilt, discipline, guilt...great balls of fire, just throw us a Prozac™!) - and learn how to make toddlers happy, balanced and loving. Behaviors such as "Toddler Biting", "Toddler Hitting", "Screaming" or "Toddler Tantrums" can happen for many reasons – sensory stimulation, communication, frustration, etc. – but if you want results, we have to figure out why.

Take a tiny bit of time up front, soak in the new "TAG" method explained in Life with Toddlers, then it's easy. And hey, if you're now an official member of the Toddler Bite Club, don't fret. We're all members, girlfriend!

Reviews for the Toddler ABC Guide to Discipline

The Toddler ABC Guide©, as explained in Life With Toddlers, will teach you how to set up an environment of trust, security and control. Toddlers need a structured, consistent environment to feel safe and happy. And I’m telling you, if you focus and raise your toddler correctly, by the time your kid hits about four years old, you should be totally home free.

If you are NOT home free by four and the behavior just gets worse, it’s time to set up that trust, security, and control QUICK! The bigger they get, if you don’t have control, it can make your life miserable! If you think it’s bad now, ooh honey. You haven’t even seen ugly! Picture them at six, still kicking and screaming. Not good! Fortunately, when parents use the right tools, they can change their child's behavior - quickly and dramatically.

There is a better way...

Need More Convincing? You'll find the secrets to effective toddler communication inside Life With Toddlers. Toddlers begin talking at different rates. Some early, some late. This is all normal. But until they can talk, they must have a method of communicating wants and needs.

The child in this video is your totally normal, average toddler - just not talking yet. Sign language helps her to communicate her needs.

We must have a system of communication with our toddlers or the frustration will knock you flat. My suggestion is that you start with a set of very simple and basic sign language so that your child can at least tell you when they’re tired, hungry, finished, want more...etc. It is absolutely amazing how much a BABY knows and cannot tell you because they can’t talk! When they can let you know what they’re thinking, it really cuts the tantrums and frustration.

Some suggested first signs are: milk, more, finished, sleep, eat, help, binky/pacifier, bath.

Under communication, we also need to factor in our instructions to our kids – do they understand and can they actually DO what we ask? This falls into the TAG method – we must be clear with our instructions to our kids.

Loading the player ...
Use words and language they understand. For instance, "stop that." Really, now - what the heck does that mean??? We have to take vague and useless admonishments and rephrase them to communicate exactly what we want:

Stop that really means "sit quietly in your chair" or "quiet bottom, quiet feet"

Do you see how we have to take our negative, non-specific instructions and turn them into positive, crystal clear directions on what we actually WANT instead of what we DON’T? It takes some practice!  You'll learn how to do this and much, much more!
Communication is only one aspect of toddler behavior.  Life with Toddlers explores hundreds.  Get started now, and learn the secrets to proper toddler parenting that will create a happy, healthy, and balanced life with your toddler.  Order your copy today!
